Monthly Meetings
The monthly meetings provide you with an opportunity to network with human resource professionals from around the panhandle. We continuously strive to provide quality programs at each meeting. Our goal is to provide informative and interesting programs that will educate each attendee and help them grow both professionally and personally. To accomplish this goal, expert speakers from various areas of the human resource field are featured at the monthly luncheon meeting. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Amarillo Club, located on the 30th floor of the Bank One building, unless otherwise stated on the events calendar.
Human Resource Accreditation
PHRA encourages professional accreditation through SHRM's Human Resource Certification Institute. PHRA works in cooperation with Amarillo College in providing information about the pre-certification program offered each fall. The chapter can also assist in establishing study groups and providing information about the requirements and testing dates for accreditation.
The Resource
The Resource is a monthly newsletter publication that members receive by regular or electronic mail. The newsletter highlights chapter activities, seminars, and articles on legislative issues keeping all Panhandle Human Resources Association members informed of current events.
Membership Directory
As a member, you will have access to the "Members Only" area of the PHRA website. This area contains the name, title, business address, email, and phone number of each member.
SHRM Affiliation
Panhandle Human Resources Association is an affiliated SHRM chapter. SHRM membership, however, is separate from PHRA membership. You can contact SHRM for membership requirements.
